Creating A Morning Routine
Starting your day with intention and a morning routine can change the trajectory of your day.
I want to share with you the 3 things I do every day to create a morning routine that set me up for success!
These 3 things may also help you establish a routine that best suits you and your schedule!
Step 1 - BE REALISTIC
Be realistic with the time you have in the morning and YOUR priorities (not your significant
other’s, not Linda’s next door, just your own). Everybody’s routine will look different and what
works for me, may not work for you. You can look to other people’s routines for inspiration
and adopt the pieces that work for you, to complete your puzzle! Find what sets your soul on
fire, what sparks joy in you, and implement it, every single morning!
Step 2 - BE INTENTIONAL
Be intentional with your routine. Ask yourself, “What can I do today that is going to help me
show up as my BEST SELF, for myself, my family, my career, my day, etc?”
For me, I write out my “game day list”. On this list, I write out 3-5 things that NEED to be
accomplished in my day. If it doesn’t make the top 5 list, it can wait!
Step 3 - BE OPEN MINDED & POSITIVE
By keeping an open mind and practicing positivity you are able to show up as the best
version of yourself!
Starting the day with positive thoughts will set the tone for how you will respond to what the
day brings! If you wake up and it’s raining, instead of thinking “UGH RAIN”, try replacing it
with “I need to remember my umbrella!”. A simple mindset shift can change the entire mood of
Where to start?
Tips for implementing a successful morning routine:
Create a calm, comfortable, safe space (think a warm oversized sweater, pillows, a
candle, music, cup of coffee/water, anything that makes you feel good)
Pick a book of your choice (if you enjoy reading/have time- even 5 mins!)
Grab a notebook to organize daily prompts:
Intention for the day
Gratitude for the day
